TM Studios Member Services frequently asked questions.
Here are some common solutions to problems associated with using TM Studios' "Member Services" area. If you are having trouble logging on or using Member Services you can typically solve the problem by checking these things first. This page was designed in an FAQ style to hopefully give you the answers you need to quickly get you up and running.

What are cookies and why do I need them to use TM Studios' web site?
TM Studios' Member Services requires cookies in order to direct you to your individually specified areas of the website. TM Studios does not use these cookies to collect or share user information with any third party. For more information on cookies including how to configure them in your browser click here.

What if I can log on to member services but I'm not able to access my HitDisc Online service?
Online download services are typically activated through your account representative. Each activated user must fill out an online activation form and fax it back to us. If you are able to log on to member services but are unable to access your specific download area the first thing you should check is to be certain that cookies are enabled on your browser. If you are certain that cookies are enabled properly contact our customer service department. They can quickly check to see if your account is up and running and that proper access has been granted. In the event that you cannot log in after this the problem is most likely related to corporate, or personal firewall software settings. We have found that some firewall software such as "Norton Personal Firewall" can cause the behavior described because they limit the cookies ability to function interactively. Temporarily disable items such as these one at a time and see if the problem is corrected. If it is, you can look into configuring the software or device that is preventing it from operating correctly.

What if I'm having trouble using some areas of the site or downloading files?
Trouble like this can manifest itself in many ways but the most common problem is with improperly formatted temporary internet files. As an example, sometimes a web page or an MP3 file may start downloading but then stop half-way through. If you are having problems of this type or problems using the web site in general they can usually be remedied by clearing out the temporary internet cache on your machine. "Clearing out the cached files" is a good thing to do and can improve overall web performance on your machine.  As an example, here is how you would clean out your temporary internet files on Microsoft Internet Explorer 6...

1. Open Internet Explorer 6
2. Click "Tools", then "Internet Options"
3. Click the "Delete Files" button.
4. You should see a check box that says "Delete all offline content", put a check mark in this box E. Click "OK" 
5. Click "OK" again on the next page.
6. Close your browser and open it again and try using the website or downloading your file again.

What if I don't remember my user name?
Your username will be your complete email address (the one you registered in member services when you signed up). When you sign up for Member Services you enter your email address and a password is then sent to you at that email address. This assures TM Studios that you have entered a valid email address into Member Services. When using your email address to log on, be sure that you type the entire address into the username field.

What can a person do if they forget their password?
The TM Studios Member Services logon page has a section to recover your password. Just go to the TM Studios main website and click "Member Services" just as if you were going to log in.  In the middle of the page look for the words "forgot your password?" Put the email address you registered with TM Studios in the box and click "email my password to me". Your password will immediately be sent to your registered address so that you can retrieve it and then use it to log into Member Services.

What if I change my email address?
For security reasons, we do not change email addresses on Member Service accounts. What you should do is go to the TM Studios Member Services area and sign up as a new member with your new email address. If you have services that entitle you to our online downloads section you will need to contact you sales representative and fill out an online activation form and fax it back to us. We will then activate the new account and de-activate the old one, including transferring any existing access to services such as HitDisc or Comedy Online.

Why do some services like "Prime Cuts Plus" have a separate password?
Some services such as Prime Cuts Plus require customers to be on a special monthly email list.  We include the next month's password in the email. Services of this type require that the user accept the monthly email in order to continue using their individual sections of the web site.
